Buy-now listings are paid online on Stripe's secure payment page. Buy now on a listing goes straight there; the cart is for paying for several listings in one payment. There is no separate checkout page. Nothing is reserved and no order exists until the payment succeeds.
1. Set the delivery
On a listing you set the quantity and the delivery in the buy box. In the cart you set them per listing. Either way, each listing carries:
- a quantity, which must clear the seller’s checkout minimum;
- a complete delivery address, chosen from saved warehouses or entered and saved;
- a requested delivery window, no earlier than that listing’s lead time;
- dock access. No dock means a lift-gate charge on each load.
We split the quantity into truckloads using the listing's truck capacity, with any remainder on the last truck, and every load of that listing goes to the same address in the same window. A volume price break applies to each truck's own quantity. Those loads are one order, with a delivery for each truck. Different listings in the cart can go to different addresses. On a listing, a quantity below the checkout minimum or an order of more than ten truckloads turns the buy box into Check availability, which asks for a quote instead. In the cart, more than ten truckloads offers a quote request in place of payment.
You can build a cart and pay without an account; a signed-out cart is kept in your browser and merged into your account if you sign in later.
2. Pay on Stripe's secure page
- Buy now on a listing, or Pay in the cart, opens Stripe's hosted payment page directly. It lists every load with its price, delivery and tax, and the combined total. Stripe collects your email, phone, card and billing address.
- Freight is priced per load, and the delivered price is held for 20 minutes. Changing the address, window, dock, quantity or price, or waiting past the 20 minutes, needs a fresh price before you can pay. We check the payment against the held price before taking it.
- Tax is calculated from each load’s delivery address and pickup origin, and from the billing customer’s tax IDs. A load is exempt only when a verified exemption certificate on file covers its delivery state. The payment page collects billing details only; it does not ask you to re-enter delivery addresses.
- One payment covers every scheduled load. When it succeeds, all the orders are created together. If any load cannot be created, none is, and the whole payment is refunded.
Cancelling an unpaid cart closes the payment session and restores the cart. A payment that is already processing cannot be cancelled as an unpaid cart. A full refund restores the locked quantities once.
3. After payment
The success page reads the real state of the attempt rather than trusting the browser, so a closed tab does not lose an order. Each load becomes its own order under Orders, with pickup and delivery scheduled on the order (see Freight and delivery).Invoices, payouts and payment methods are in Settings.
Paying on terms at checkout
If your company is approved for payment terms and you manage its billing, the cart and Buy now offer Pay on terms beside card. Enter your purchase order number, upload the PO file (an order on terms always needs one), and choose Place order on terms. Freight and prices are the same as paying by card. Your orders are created straight away, show as Confirming your order in your dashboard while our accounting team reviews them, and you get the order confirmation by email. The invoice follows with your terms’ due date. A delivery location with its own terms or limit uses them. If the order is more than your available credit, pay by card or apply for a higher limit. Not approved yet? Choose Apply for terms at checkout or under Company settings.
Buying again
Buy again appears on your released orders, in your orders list, and on a listing your company has bought before. It is hidden while an order still shows a Pay button or its payment is under review, so it can never be mistaken for paying; orders on terms show it even while their invoice is open. It puts the same listings and quantities in your cart with your last delivery address and dock setting and opens checkout, where freight is quoted at today's rates and you choose how to pay. If a listing is no longer listed, now has a higher minimum, or its price changed, or your cart already holds it at another quantity or holds other items, we show that first with today's price and you choose what to keep. When nothing can be bought online, we link to similar listings and a quote request. If you collected your last order yourself, checkout delivers, so freight is quoted for the address you enter. Customers on credit terms also keep Reorder on terms on completed orders.
Paying a quote: prepay or terms
| Your company | Accept means | Then |
|---|---|---|
| Prepay | Pay by card or US bank account on the quote page | The order is created when the payment succeeds |
| Payment terms, credit approved | Choose Invoice and give a purchase order: upload one, use the PO on file, or use a standing PO | An unpaid order is created; an invoice is raised against the order with the terms’ due date and sent to you |
| Payment terms, credit application under review | Wait for the decision, or pay now if the quote allows it | The terms button stays disabled until the application is decided |
| Payment terms, no credit on file | Apply for terms, or pay now if the quote allows it | A purchase order can only be entered once credit is approved |
Anyone with the quote link can pay by card or bank, signed in or not. Paying on terms needs a signed-in member of the quote’s company. Repackify is the merchant of record on every charge; the invoice is always raised against the order, never the quote.
Orders counted at pickup
Some loads, such as pallet cores and IBC totes, are bought on an estimated quantity and counted at pickup. Those orders cannot be invoiced until the count is entered; see the count sheet.
