Construction Types

2-Wall (Double Wall)

Two layers of fluting. Light-duty, roughly 500-1,800 lbs by board grade. Most economical option.

3-Wall (Triple Wall)

Three layers of fluting. Medium-duty, roughly 1,200-3,000 lbs by board grade. Good balance of strength and cost.

4-Wall

Four layers of fluting. Heavy-duty, 2,000 lbs and up. Industrial and manufacturing applications.

5-Wall

Five layers of fluting. Maximum strength, 2,500 lbs and up. Heaviest materials and roughest handling.

Shipping Notes

Gaylords ship flat (knocked down) for efficient transport — a standard trailer holds 200-400+ KD gaylords. Assembled gaylords on pallets: 20-22 per trailer, because a filled box bulges past its pallet and needs clearance.
