A new shipping box is unused corrugated, flat or assembled for the first time, with its construction and strength printed on the Box Maker's Certificate stamp. A 32 ECT single-wall RSC is the common general-purpose box; 44 and 48 ECT single-wall and double-wall boxes are for heavier contents.
New is the only grade where that certificate describes the box you are holding. Once a box has been shipped, stacked, taped and cut open, its edge crush and burst strength may be lower than the stamp says, and the loss cannot be seen. New boxes can also be ordered in the exact inside dimensions your product needs.
Choose new for customer-facing shipments, heavy or fragile contents, parcels sized to keep dimensional weight down, and any lane where a damage claim may turn on the packaging.

- Inside dimensions (L x W x D) that fit product plus cushioning
- Single-wall or double-wall matched to the contents' weight
- Flute suited to the use: C for general shipping, E for mailers
