Browse ListingsAbout Baled/Recycle Bulk Bags
Baled bulk bags are FIBCs that have reached the end of their service, pressed into bales and sold by weight as woven polypropylene for recycling. They are not containers anymore, and no bag from a bale should be lifted with a load.
This is where every other grade ends. Single-trip bags come here after their one fill, and multi-use bags come here when an inspection fails. What a recycler cares about is not the bag's rating but the material: how clean the fabric is, what it held, and whether anything other than PP is in the bale.
The usual reasons a bale is downgraded are residue, especially product that holds moisture or contaminates the melt, polyethylene liners left inside the bags, and mixed-in tape, labels or other materials.
What to Look For When Buying
- Bags emptied and free of residue, with no product left inside
- Polyethylene liners removed from the bags
- Prior contents known and non-hazardous
- Bales tightly bound and dry
- No non-PP material mixed into the bale
Ideal For
- Polypropylene recycling and reprocessing
- Bag generators clearing end-of-life stock
- Brokers consolidating PP scrap loads
Not Recommended For
- Any lifting or containment use
Buying Tips
- Ask the seller what the bags held and whether liners were removed
- Confirm your recycler's spec for residue and moisture before buying
- Weigh bales on arrival and reconcile against the bill of lading
- Keep bales dry and covered, since wet bales weigh more and process worse
