Like New Gaylord Boxes

A like-new gaylord has been used once, often sold as 1x, and is nearly indistinguishable from new: all flaps intact, corners square, no delamination, no wet damage and a legible certificate stamp. The market also calls this Grade A.

The difference from used (Grade B) is that nothing has been cut, crushed or softened. Used gaylords can have short flaps, scuffed walls or panels weakened by compression; a like-new box does not, so the weight limit on its certificate still applies.

What matters most is what the box carried the first time. A gaylord that held dry resin or boxed parts can often go back into food-adjacent service with a new poly liner. One that held produce, chemicals or anything wet should be treated as used or lower.
