Browse ListingsAbout Mixed Load Pallets
A mixed pallet load is an unsorted or partly sorted lot of used pallets. It can hold any combination of Grade A, B and C, and often more than one footprint or construction: 48x40 stringer pallets alongside block pallets, odd sizes and heavy-duty pallets. Some pallets in the lot may need repair before use.
The difference from a combo load is the sort. A combo is one footprint with every pallet at Grade B or better. A mixed load carries no such guarantee, so the buyer does the sorting: pulling usable pallets by size and grade, and repairing, reselling or disposing of the rest.
That makes a mixed load a fit for pallet recyclers, repair yards and operations with the labor and yard space to sort. For a buyer who needs a fixed count of one size at a known grade, it is the wrong lot.
What to Look For When Buying
- A listed breakdown of sizes and grades, or photos that show it
- Share of pallets that need repair before use
- Odd sizes or block pallets your equipment cannot handle
- Whether broken pallets are included in the count
Ideal For
- Pallet recyclers and repair yards sorting for resale
- Operations with sorting labor and yard space
- Buyers who need several sizes at once
- Lumber recovery
Not Recommended For
- Buyers who need a fixed count of one size and grade
- Automated handling or retailer deliveries
Buying Tips
- Ask what share of the count is 48x40 GMA
- Judge the load on the usable pallets it contains, not the total count
- Plan where rejected pallets will go before the truck arrives
- Ask whether the seller will take back or haul away rejects
